On Monday, Sept. 8, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., Innovation Valley Inc. will host a kick-off breakfast featuring a pep talk from University of Tennessee men’s head basketball coach, Bruce Pearl.
The event will launch an unprecedented collaboration of business and agency leaders focused on technology-led economic development, education and workforce development in the East Tennessee Technology Corridor.
Three simultaneous presentations connected by live, streaming video will take place at the Airport Hilton in Blount County, the Knoxville Convention Center in Knox County and the Pollard Technology Conference Center in Oak Ridge.
The Blount County hosts will be Kevin Clayton of Clayton Homes Inc. and Robin Wilhoit of WBIR-TV. The hosts in Knoxville will be Jimmy Haslam of Pilot Travel Centers LLC and Hallerin Hilton Hill of WNOX-FM. In Oak Ridge, Dr. Thomas Mason of UT-Battelle and Lori Tucker of WATE-TV will serve as hosts. Alan Williams of WVLT-TV will contribute a special economic report.
Bruce Pearl will make remarks from the Knoxville Convention Center location.
