Goals

Every day, around the world, a business is choosing a place to locate. To attract new businesses and maintain a thriving economy, East Tennessee must act now – because the world won’t wait.

To implement the six program areas of the Innovation Valley Inc. Strategic Blueprint, it will take $3.2 million each year for a total of $16 million over the five-year period. These specific goals have been established to measure the success of Innovation Valley Inc. over the next five years:

Create 30,000 new jobs.
Increase the number of existing business jobs by 19,000.
Create $3.125 billion in new and expansion project capital investment.
Increase per capita income to $45,000.
Increase high school graduation rate by 20 percent.
